My Review
“Death may be the greatest of all human blessings”.”
― War of Lanka
― War of Lanka
The last three books of the Ramchandra series were told from the vantage point of Ram, Sita and Raavan. This book picks up the story where it ends in all three books with Raavan capturing Sita and Ram deciding to go to war with the Kingdom of Lanka.
when the news of Sita being captured by Raavan reaches Sapt Sindhu, the brothers of Ram and the interim king of Sapt Sindhu Bharath reaches out to help Ram with his forces, but the major obstacle they face in this war is the kingdom of Lanka is an island and it is protected by the mighty ocean between India and Lanka and also to fight the might Raavan, Ram need allies and modern weapons to help him penetrate the kingdom of Lanka and defeat it.
In a stroke of luck, Vibhishana the half-brother of Raavan has deflected to Ram's side. Vibhishana always ignored and insulted by his brother Raavan from childhood, now wants his revenge and wants to see Raavan fall. He has a deep desire to become the King of Lanka and is ready to give secret information about the kingdom to Ram if Ram promises to make him king after defeating Raavan.
Amish as usual in this book has shown every event from the epic Ramayana from his unique point of view, for which he is celebrated. In this book, you will read about the creation of Ram Setu and the famous story of Hanuman saving Laxman by Sanjeevani, the politics associated with the war and the bravery of warriors from both sides to protect their king and kingdom.
Will the seventh Vishnu rise to fight evil or Will Raavan, a ruthless King who has taken an oath to destroy Sapt Sindhu will be victorious?
Written in Amish easy to read style this book is an action-packed remake of Ramayana and is an amazing year-end gift by Amish to his fans 😊
